वो रूठा होता है (मनाने का इंतज़ार कर रहा होता है), कभी संकोच में, 
उलझा होता है, कभी बयान ना हो पा रहे जज़्बात में,
झूमता है हंसी के साथ, कभी असीम ख़ुशी में, 
अधूरा होता है, कभी अपने ही बनाये भ्रम में, 
मुस्कुराता है, खिलखिलाता है अक्सर ये ‘कुछ नहीं’ 

ये ‘कुछ नहीं’, 
कहना... बहुत कुछ चाहता है, 
अपने ही बनाये दायेरे में बंधा रह जाता है, 
तमन्ना होती है इसकी, 
अनगिनत लव्जों को कहने की,
